The Perfect Gift For A Baby’s Shower

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

An upcoming arrival of a newborn baby is a life changing experience for everyone involved.  With the birth of a baby there are new parents, new grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all waiting eagerly for the arrival of the tiny bundle of love.  Traditionally in the United States, the mother-to-be is given a baby shower with lots of totally free baby stuff to welcome the new addition to the family and to help prepare her for her new role as a mother.  Baby shower gifts are fun to purchase and there are many different ideas to choose from while shopping.

Who Should Host A Baby Shower

The traditional baby shower has free baby shower games and is a special party that focuses on the baby and mother-to-be.  It is an occasion of celebration and joy that is usually hosted by a best friend or family member of the mother-to-be.  Historically, it was not proper etiquette for an immediate family member to host a baby showers but in recent years, those traditions have become obsolete and the general practice is to allow anyone who wants to host the shower to do so.  The baby shower generally last about two hours and includes games, dessert and the opening of baby shower gifts by the Mother-to-be.  Each invited guest is generally expected to bring a baby shower gift for the baby or mother-to-be.

Try To Be Creative With Themed Baby Shower Gifts

Baby shower gifts are generally items that focus on basic supplies and clothes items that the baby will need during its first year.  Often baby shower gifts are theme focused, providing a well-rounded gift for the baby for a certain time of day or a specific activity.  An example of this might be a bath time gift theme that could include a baby bathtub, shampoos, bath toys, baby towels and washcloths, a bath puppet, sponge and bath thermometer.  Another baby shower gift idea might be a feeding time theme that could include baby bottles, baby spoons, dinnerware, bibs, bottle cleaner brush, sippy cups, and variety of baby food that included different flavors and stages of development, baby cereals and other such dinnertime items.

What Size Is The Right Size?

Clothes are often a very popular gift idea for toddler games; people tend to over the tiny sizes and the different fashions that are produced in the baby fashion market.  If deciding to purchase cloth items for a baby shower gift for the newborn, it is often a good idea to purchase sizes that are 6-12 months or higher as babies generally grown quickly and only get to wear items once or twice when purchased in the newborn sizes.  Sizes for baby clothes are classified by the months of age rather than the size of the body.  However, many babies never actually fit into the specific months size at the correct month of age.  Babies tend to outgrow the newborn clothes within the first few weeks or as is often the case, many babies today are born weighing over nine pounds and don’t even fit into the newborn sizes at the time of their birth.  When shopping for babies, it is often a good rule of thumb to purchase large enough to allow growth rather than to purchase too small and have the baby never actually wear the baby shower gift.  If concerned, it is often best to contact the host/hostess of the baby shower to see if there is a specific size of clothing the mother-to-be needs for the baby.

Organic Search Engine Marketing - Much More Than SEO

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Search Engine Marketing is the art of building a domain or network of internet sites in a very outstanding position in search engines results for the needs of tempting the stream of people actively seeking info, products and services. Talking generally, the better your position, the more interested, highly incentivized “traffic” you get. More traffic means more business. More business is our bottom line.

Organic Search Engine Marketing is different from common PPC ( PPC ) or Cost Per Click ( CPC ) strategies by concentrating on improving standings within natural search results. Industry research shows that 70% of search website users like to click on natural lists, eschewing paid placements and announcement listings. Organic search selling produces results that are prolific, strong and extraordinary.

Search engine optimization is the practice of strategically coming up with your site so that the topics and terms you are invested in can be easily identified by search site androids ( frequently called “spiders” because of the nature they scurry through your site’s content and linking structure ). Through the utilization of tags, keywords, page titles, content, links and the like, a well optimized site significantly increases the possibility of being found thru the search engines on its most applicable terms. Your websites visibility is important to your web business, and what business can excuse the loss of money that comes from poor optimization? Put simply we will lay a rock-solid foundation for building a potent online presence.

Successful firms know search engine marketing is one of the strongest tools available to increase reputation, sales, and brand visibility. Every day there are hundreds, if not thousands, of folks actively looking for your products and services - Are they finding you first?

Writing Tip Articles For Backlinks

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Tip articles have been popular for over 10 years now and they still get published today for one reason. They work. Millions of people every day are looking for tips on how to solve a problem and with a tip article they get tightly focused answers to there most pressing questions.

When a subject is laid out in tip form it is easy for the reader to skim through the headings of the tips tp find the answer that most suits there question. The amount of tips you provide is entirely up to you. There is no right or wrong answer but if you deliver a tip article in a tightly defined niche then five tips is enough.

On the other hand, if your niche is general, then perhaps ten or more are needed. Below are some examples of what I mean and hopefully will help you decide on the best avenue to go down.

Losing weight is a poular category that gets millions of searches per day. Provided tips on how to lose weight could take up pages and pages but if someone is wanting to know how to loose weight fast, then supplying the top 5 ways to do this would be laser targeted.

One more example to wrap this up would be the hair transplant industry. Hugely popular so that a 10 tip article would be needed but if a guy is loking for laser hair transplant tips, once again very specific, five tips is ample.

Now you are armed with some information regarding tip articles, go write some and get them published for those backlinks. It will be a 2 pronged solution. Firstly, you will be getting valuable backlinks and secondly, the reader, or visitor, is getting valuable information to help them.

Before you start any exercise routine, please consult your physician. We are not medically trained and do not profess to be. Any advise followed from this article is done from the readers own risk.

SodaStream Can Save You Money

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Effective financial management is important to you and your family. In tough economic times, we all look for ways to save a dollar. We don’t want to give up our pleasures or our luxuries, but we know we must cut costs.

Seltzer water– sometimes known as soda water, club soda, sparkling water, carbonated water, or pop water– is plain water with carbon dioxide gas dissolved in it, and is the major component of “soft drinks.”. The process is called carbonation and forms carbonic acid.

Club soda can be the same as plain carbonated water, or it can contain a small amount of salt or traces of minerals, depending on the brand. These are added to produce the taste of home-made soda water. Occuring naturally in some cases to make carbonated mineral water, soda water is also made with sodium bicarbonate in some countries of the world.

In soft drinks (such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi), carbonation is used to insert fizziness in the taste. The fizzy taste is caused by diluted carbonic acid which produces a slight burning taste, not by the presence of bubbles.

You can make seltzer as fizzy as your family prefers with Soda-Club home soda/seltzer maker. You can make your very own special seltzer, and flavor it with an unsweetened, all-natural flavor mix.

If you love seltzer and find it at the best bargain prices, and your family drinks one case of bottles per week, you could spend over ,000 in 10 years. With Soda-Club, your costs can be cut to 18 cents per liter– that would come out to just two dollars per case. Whenever you want it, you will be able to enjoy seltzer, fizzy and fresh. If you would rather have the lighter carbonation like sparkling water, Soda Club has the Penguin, to provide fresh sparkling water.

Here are some reasons for you to consider using Soda-Club:

• The reusable one-liter bottles help you avoid storing cases from the store.
• Special bottle caps preserve the seltzer fizz for longer than caps on store-bought seltzer.
• Single liter bottle of Seltzer. Unlike one-time soda siphon chargers, Alco2jet has enough carbon dioxide to carbonate 110 liters of seltzer. Almost everywhere in the United States empty carbonators can be exchanged at your door.
• The Soda-Club home maker lets you make it your way: you decide on the amount of bubbles.
• Employing reusable bottles reduces discarded and recyclable material in the environment. You will also save money on deposit fees.
• Contains no Sodium.

By adding a drop of all-natural, unsweetened flavoring, or a piece of fresh fruit, you have a great alternative to soda pop for your kids. It has been suggested that if you can make water taste better, the more water your family will drink. So the Soda-Club home maker gives you a less expensive way to offer seltzer and soda drinks to your family for complete hydration.

The Soda-Club home carbonated water maker

Appreciating the value of a penny will pay off for you and your family. The Soda-Club home maker, and other money-saving products, can help make every cent count.

My Mini Dell Experience

Monday, October 26th, 2009

That’s the experience with the Inspiron 910 Mini not the mini-experience! Well I am in web design and have been toying with the idea of getting a more modern laptop as my old Dell Inspiron from 2003 is as heavy as a brick. My step dad just bought a top of the range Toshiba Portege at around £1,200, but he’s at that time in life where 1,200 quid is affordable, where as I’m still in financial recovery from my last divorce (yes there was more than one!)! So I happened across the Dell Inspiron 910 Mini on the Dell website whilst looking at specs of normal laptops to use when out and about demonstrating our CMS system to potential clients, wow £299 inc VAT and delivery that is a bargain!

There I was credit card at the ready, wrist twitching, hang on I thought, why am I buying this, do I really need it? No, I don’t NEED it I just HAVE TO HAVE ONE . [Puts credit card away]

The next day I happen to have to work on my step Dads’ ultra lightweight new laptop, wow this is lush, so light, I wish I could afford one.

The next day I had to go to a clients with my laptop, and about put my back out trying to put it in the car passenger foot well whilst sitting in the drivers’ seat, hmm decided I do have a NEED for the new dell Inspiron mini after all! It only weights around 1kg. So as I had a management meeting that afternoon I informed my finance manager I would be ordering one and that was that. So Friday October 3rd I placed the order on the Dell website, and on the 8th I got back from a meeting at the offices of the guys who look after Xbox hard drive price website to find a Dell cardboard box on my desk, I thought it couldn’t possibly be the new mini as the confirmation email I got said it would arrive on or around the 20th October, but sure enough it really had arrived.

Well I was ecstatic and got it out and started setting it up straight away, you know remove McAfee Security Centre and install Avast Anti Virus, that kind of thing. As it has an integrated web cam I also downloaded Windows Live Messenger and had a quick video chat with my girlfriend whilst she was doing her ironing, fantastic!

So I googled ‘mobile broadband suppliers’ and toyed with ordering the USB dongle from Three, as their 5GB monthly allowance is only 15 quid a month so the best looking deal, providing those coverage stories you hear about Three Mobile are not really true!

Anyway, it was soon time to go and get my daughter from school so I thought yeah I’ll take it with me and even though I don’t have the mobile broadband USB Modem yet I can continue configuring it in car park if I’m early. I was early, so I turned it on, it said:

Windows could not start because of an error in the software.
Please report this problem as :
load needed DLLs for kernel.
Please contact your support person to report this problem

As we say in England “Computer says no…”

Ah dear, it was great fun whilst it lasted, then followed a 2 and a half hour telethon with Dell support in India :-) Apparently they were so quick to ship it to me that my service tag isn’t on their system yet. They suggested I called back in 24-48 hours, well I told them exactly what I thought of their suggestion as I’m sure you can image, but to no avail. I did indeed have to call back today and they have agreed to send me a replacement unit as it is within 7 days of delivery.

I hope the replacement arrives as promptly as the original unit did…

So conclusion? Apart from the fact it doesn’t work (a faulty drive in my opinion) and for the life of me I can’t get it to boot from an external drive or USB key (it doesn’t have a CD or DVD drive you know) it feels really solid, looks lovely, and is nice to handle (sounds a bit like the ideal companion to an i-phone 2.0 doesn’t it!).

Like most reviewers have experienced, the keys are small (but blackberry users manage and they are larger than those keys) and the right shift key is tiny and means you can’t type an @ in the usual fashion and I wonder how it’s going to cope with all the complicated keyboard stuff it has to do when I lend it to a client like the ones running a site at http://www.xbox360steeringwheel.com/ all about Xbox 360 steering wheels. The screen is nice though, 3 USB slots, a monitor connector, Ethernet and earphones and mic connectors although it has both speakers and mic internally so you can video conference and both speak and listen through the inbuilt hardware without having to plug anything in.

On the whole, I would recommend it, providing you get one that works ! I am also yet to try it with LogMeIn which is my preferred way of dealing with how to access emails, lots of passwords, specialist software and all that kind of thing when you are out and about. Possibly the screen is going to be too small to be able to work with for extended periods of time, but I’ll let you know when the replacement arrives and I have had chance to give it a proper testing, assuming that one doesn’t break on me as soon as I start urm ‘configuring’ it!

Review: Can You See What I See? Dream Machine

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Can You See What I See? Dream Machine is one of the hardest hidden object games I have ever played.

Inside the game, the screen divides up into four parts. Clicking on the plus allows you to highlight one of the four quadrants to zoom in on. Trust me you will need it! Some of the items are teeny tiny.

When first starting the game you are told how Clyde Curfuffle wants to give his niece and nephew presents for their birthday. He wants to give his niece a fairy tale book and his nephew a robot radio. However, the absent-minded scientist forgot where he put the presents and the birthday party is tomorrow! You are the lucky person selected to find the presents. This means finding hidden objects, solving puzzles, and deciding dreams. That is where the dream machine comes in to play.

You must collect all the pieces of the dream machine in order to find the presents. The machine will interpret each of Clyde Curfuffle’s dreams. He hopes that you can use the dream machine to interpret his dreams and locate the presents for his niece and nephew. First you have to collect all the pieces to the dream machine. After finding all the pieces, you can use the machine to interpret the dream. Only after you interpret the dreams can you find the presents, give the kids a happy birthday, and save the day.

What makes this game different than other hidden object games is the list of objects.

Many times, you are asked to find several of the same items. This does not mean each item looks the same either. For example: if it asks for 4 cats, there could be a porcelain cat, a toy cat, a picture of a cat, and wallpaper design that looks like a cat.

In each scene, you are asked to find Seymour. Seymour is a monkey that helps you along by giving you the instructions. If you get stuck, there is a question mark (?) to click that gives a hint on locating the hidden object.

Can You See What I See? Dream Machine challenges your mind. Only play it if you are up for a challenge. If you have an eye for details, this game is for you.

You can try Can You See What I See? Dream Machine at Marco Polo Games. Here you can play the game for an hour before deciding to purchase it. Marco Polo Games has tons of hidden object games. Go there and see for yourself.

Can Google Adsense Trully Make Us Money?

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Do you know the best way to earn money on the Internet? The most common way bloggers seem to make money online is via Google AdSense and most of them even make the mistake of just depending on it alone. But do you know that the main reason most people never make money online is because they don’t do it properly.

There are many ways to make money on the net some you don’t need clients for like adsense you just need to drive traffic to your site. Earning money through Google Adsense is the simplest and easiest way to earn money online. For more information about earning money on the Internet, you can go to my internet marketing online resource. If you don’t have a clue what AdSense is, where have you been all this time?

Google AdSense is a contextual advertising program for which publishers simply have to add a piece of code to their sites that helps Google analyze what your page is about so they can serve Ads on that topic. AdSense also allows you to earn money by using Google Search on your site that will display relevant Ads when visitors search on your site. You can place a maximum 3 Adsense ads on a page.

Please keep in mind that Adsense doesn’t allow the placement of other contextual ads alongside them such as adbrite, bidvertiser, and text-link-ads. I find success with Google Adsense simply for the fact that I author and maintain numerous dot Com websites like this internet business make money online resource guide. As a blogger, you should not only rely on Adsense as your only income source.

Do you want to start earning your first 100 dollars online now? Then you need to go to my earn cash make money online site to see how it works.

how to make money online

Monday, October 26th, 2009

I’ve just published an article called How I make Money Online, at Hubpages http://hubpages.com/hub/How-I-Earn-Money-Online, to share with everyone how i earn my living as a writer. The article mainly talks about how to join Hubpages and what the benefits are of doing so. I found Hubpages a really easy way to get into earning money on line because of several reasons:

It’s free to join and to start up your own Hubpages online business.

I get to choose what I write about, so I can write stuff that interests me.

All the techy stuff is done for you, so you don’t have a bewildering learning curve that results in you making a lot of mistakes right off.

Ok, Hubpages takes a share of the revenue, they get 60% and you get 40%, but I think that’s fair for all the help and support you get.

Support - all the other Hubbers as we’re called are really helpful in sharing information.

I also wrote in this article about how to get jobs as a freelance copywriter online. I work as a freelancer through EU Freelance, a site where buyers post jobs, and you get to bid for those jobs. So far It’s worked really well for me, but you have to be careful. Never give away a free sample of your work to anyone, as people asking for freebies are ususally scammers. Thoroughly check how much you will get for each article - $2 for 100 words is OK, for 1000 words is rubbish. Once you win the bid, keep in touch with the buyer, at least daily, and ask lots of questions so that you’re clear what’s required. Make sure you meet the deadlines required.

Then just enjoy writing and being paid for your words!  Here are some other articles I’ve written http://hubpages.com/hub/Starting-a-small-business-The-Sory-of-The-Chocolate-Bar, about how to set up a small business, giving lots of tips about doing it, and about some of the pitfalls if you’re not careful.  I’m also a published author, having written two children’s books http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Publish-Your-Book.

You Can Improve Your Credit Score

Monday, October 26th, 2009

For whatever reason the financial system in the United States is not well understood by most people. In particular the credit system and how it works is an area that most people simply don’t understand. While the average consumer doesn’t need to know the dynamics of how banks make money and decide how to loan invest their money (actually your money), consumers should know how their credit score is affected by the financial system and how to improve credit score.

At its simplest level, an individual’s credit score is basically a history of their financial transactions including their taxes paid, mortgage payments, car payments, and any other transaction that involved something other than a direct cash payment for item. The amount of data gathered by the credit reporting system in the United States is staggering. For example, your electric bill is actually a form of credit. The electric company is providing you with the service (electricity) and then expect me to pay for the service they have calculated how much electricity used. So they are essentially extending credit to you for the electricity. If you fail to make your electricity payments, eventually they will report this to the credit reporting agencies it will show up as a derogatory entry.

Derogatory entries on a credit report of those entries that drop your credit score and also the focus of improving your credit score. Unpaid medical bills, unpaid utility bills, late payments on mortgages, or defaults on credit cards are all forms of derogatory entries. Of these mortgage payment history (if you’ve had a mortgage) is the one that has the biggest impact on your credit score. The assumption here is that if a person is late with their mortgage payment or doesn’t make their mortgage payment at all the emotional and not paying any other bills as having a roof over one’s head is considered a basic necessity today.

From mortgage payments everything else in your credit report secondary. Car payments are important as well. Again the assumption being that if you’re not making your car payment or close to defaulting on a car loan you’re probably in a severe financial crunch. Because without a car you can’t get to work and thereby earn money to make your car payments and mortgage payments.

After house and car comes everything else. Retail store credit cards major credit card such as MasterCard Visa or Discover and medical payments for people who don’t have medical insurance will show up on the credit report. If you have late payments on any of these they show up as derogatory entries. If you’re current on all your payments that is also reflected on your credit report but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t work on improving your credit score.

One interesting note about your credit score is that you can have a low credit score because you don’t have credit cards, or have credit cards and don’t use them. If you make a habit of paying cash for everything and have the ability to at least get some sort of credit card the matter what the interest rate is, you should occasionally purchase something with a credit card (the amount is not important) and immediately paid off. This shows both the ability to get credit and a willingness to pay. To have a positive impact on your credit score take both of these actions.
