My day at Nevada

When was the last time you took a vacation? My last one was in March (numerous months ago) and we went to Las Vegas. It was my very first time there, what a fantastic city it’s. I was impressed with the hotels, they’re quite elaborate. I was surprised at how expensive everything is, for some reason I thought the food would be cheap, but since we learned to split a lot of meals it helped to keep costs down.

We went there with $1000 in cash and strict guidelines not to over spend. We were ridiculous and took a bunch of small change bills when we could have taken mostly $100 dollar bills and just utilized the alter machines to break them into smaller units. Oh well, we’ll know for next time.

We did play a lot of games, but held firm to our guideline. We won some and lost some, and also got two nights of our hotel room comped for our play. To take advantage of this we knew to invest as much money as we could in a similar hotel chain. So anything we ate at New York New York counted a similar as if we ate at our own hotel. By sticking to a similar chain most of the time we were able to rack up a whole lot of points and get an excellent comp.

We also took a tour from the Hoover Dam and Ethel M Chocolate Factory. Both are excellent tours and I extremely recommend them.
